Although web design is one of those areas that keeps evolving over time, there are some great web design trends in 2020 that will never get old.

The top trends in web design 2020

Semi-flat Design-

The  traditional flat  design that has been a trend for many years has now evolved into a more subtle and attractive semi-flat design. This type of design involves the same old flat design as  well as a few improvements to make it more pleasant to look at and feel better.

Transitions can involve adding bright shadows, shading depth, and other structural complexities without destroying the underlying flat design.

3D Design

3D will certainly dominate the design world in the near future. With so many companies working on developing 3D rendering tools and technologies like VR and AR, it has become easier than ever to create interactive 3D models and designs that not only look attractive, but who feel alive.

Videos Everywhere

Videos are no longer limited to video sharing sites like YouTube. Lazy Loading

The reason that lazy loading  (or staggered loading) designs are in increasing demand is that the need for lighter and faster loading designs is increasing.

Don’t get confused- Lazy loading doesn’t really mean slow loading.

It is about designing a web page where various design elements appear when they are needed. So when you move to the bottom of a web page, new information is revealed.

Full screen forms

The trend of adding forms to the home page has also been increasing lately. Many website designers now prefer to place full screen forms like subscription forms, contact forms, etc. directly to the home page of their web designs to facilitate the use of these features by site visitors.

Adaptability to Mobile (Responsive Design Again)

The mobile adaptability has grown in website design for several years and is set to stay. If your business receives visitors from smartphones and tablets, you should not ignore the importance of responsive website design. Even search engines like Google have made it clear that they will no longer advertise websites that are not compatible with mobile search.

Bold Colors

It is about using perfect, bold colors in your website designs. As you know, colors are probably the most important thing in design. With the use of appropriate colors, you can bring your design where you want, make it say what you want. Use the Google color palette to be more precise in your color selections.

Bold colors will be one of the strong web design trends for 2020.

Color Transitions

More and more companies are now preferring to use multi-color transitions (combinations) in their logos and websites rather than traditional single-color designs. The trend works well with all elements of web design, including buttons, tables, fonts, background and more.

Landing Pages

If you are a marketer, you need to understand the importance of a well-designed home page on a website, especially for marketing purposes. Almost all aspects of marketing involve the use of landing pages to attract more targeted visitors.

Custom Graphics

Split Content (split screen)

This design trend was introduced in order to better use the visible space of the screen. The split screen designs to see more of an important message (image, text, etc.) on a single page (viewing area). It is also perfectly adaptable for reactive sites.

Cinemagraphs

A Cinemagraph is not exactly a gif but a still image in which only one or two elements move. The aim is to give life to an otherwise still image (scene). Your website will only be more alive.

Hidden Navigation

The logic behind hiding the website menu on a web page is to save space. Although some people find it useless, as it is certainly difficult for users to find the menu, nevertheless, this trend is here to stay. Feel free to use it on your page, especially if it improves your design.

Animations

This type of design is even possible with video and multilayer parallax.

Gone are the days when website design was limited to organized grids and columns . Modern designs  give way to sites where designers use irregular grids to create ultra-modern designs. The white space has become more important than ever.
